This noise sounds like a gear is stripped or something similar. Tire treads hum against the asphalt, wind whistles as it passes around outboard mirrors, plastic bits and pieces in the dashboard generate little squeaks as they rub. A humming, grinding or hissing car noise can end up costing you. If your car makes noise when accelerating or turning, don't ignore it. I tried the key in the on position about 3 times and on the 3rd time for about 20 seconds, I tested the battery and alternator, they are fine. So the next morning I go to start it and I get this fast clicking noise coming from my driver side dash, no crank at all, also the lights on the dash are flickering including the check engine light.
It sounded like a fan was hitting something over and over. Almost immediately afterwards, a loud clicking noise started coming from inside the dashboard.
This is the strangest thing I've ever encountered in a car, though I am growing accustomed to weird issues with my Charger. If you see, blue, green deposits on the terminals, then that is exactly the problem which is causing the ‘no starter’ situation. Open up the car hood and check the car battery. Clicking sound and the inability to start may be attributed to inadequate power being supplied to the car’s starter motor, because of car battery terminal corrosion. It specifically only clicks when I press the brake pedal while the car is in park. I do not hear any clicking noise at any other time when pressing the brakes. I have a 2014 Mitsubishi Lance Ex (GLS), and I just noticed that when I press on the brake pedal, while the car is in park (without shifting to any gear), I hear a loud clicking noise. Has anyone else had this problem before? The clicking noise is really embarrassing as well. I recentley had the same clicking in my dash, took to dealer, said was recirc vent and would be $850 to fix.
the relay panel and the relay is located right infront of the battery. as IS300GTE said, u should feel the relay actually clicking, and if it is, than that would be the problem. somehow the switch allowed power to still run thru the relay thus making the clicking noise. 89 honda accord timing belt replacement i guess apparently the microswitch went bad bc when u turn the car off, it should have cut the power off to that relay, but only when u unplugged the battery was when the relay would stop clicking.
