The game is incredible and you just can't go wrong with buying it, especially if you love ARPGs.

I'd recommend picking the game up now, along with its Ashes of Malmouth expansion.

But after playing Grim Dawn, Torchlight 2 just feels so shallow and limited. And I'm personally a huge fan of Torchlight 2. It's a hell ton of fun.Īs someone who has 270+ hours in Torchlight 2, and countless hours in other ARPGs, I can say that Grim Dawn is the best I have ever played. And it allows you to go further in-depth with your build, strengthing them and making them even stronger. It's extremely confusing and I'd equate it to a puzzle game, trying to get as many good stuff as you can with the limited points you have. There is also the Devotion system, allowing you to put points into constellations to earn stat buffs and unique spells to attach to your existing spells. This really allows for extremely diverse builds to be made, even within the same 2 classes. Unlike TL2 and Diablo, you pick 2 classes to make one single class picking skills and abilities from each class. It really all comes down to building your character and finding the loot for them. There's farming for Legendaries and other good loot. There's roguelike dungeons to run, where if you die in them then that's it, you have to start from the beginning in the next game session. You can still do everything co-op, but I just haven't done much of it yet. There isn't really an "end-game". There is co-op, but I think it's more single-player focused than Torchlight and Diablo. Pick 2 classes to choose spells and abilities from. More focused on creating character and building them up to their final form.
